Hello! My name is Isfar Ehsan and I am a recent graduate from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Studying Network and Information Security under the IT major has allowed me to take part in a number of different experiences. Not only do I spend my time learning from school, I spend my working hours taking in as much knowledge as I possibly can. Any time outside of either of these, I spend learning about the aspects of IT that was not taught through the use of my Home Lab. Through these experiences, I have been able to solodify my understanding of networking, computer and server deployment, and some development, just to name a few.
Gain a further understanding of networking, while working for an ISP and MSP
Learn the real-world basics of router and switch deployment
Gain years of experience working with networking, penetration testing, web development, system administration, and much more
Under the branch of IT, my hobbies include my home lab where I can use as many different kinds of softwares as I can. These include, an Ubuntu server with its purpose being for network storage, media server, proxy, and as a VPN. I also have a Proxmox server where I use Virtual Machines and Containers to test, experience, and use a number of different operating systems. The lab includes a raspberry pi that acts as a VPN as well as a DNS server while I use a pfsense machine to administer the network and firewall for my home. I have also dabbled in Windows account deployment as well as Windows thin client deployments.
As for hobbies outside of IT, I enjoy learning a number of things. I read and discover about physics concepts as I do aspire to attain a physics degree in the future. I also learn about engineering projects whether they be small and grounded or as large as rocket engineering.
